Swords to Malahide

Location: Co. Dublin.

Difficulty – Easy.

Time – 1 hr 30 each way.

Distance – 7km each way.

Equipment needed – Rain coat, runners, water.

Families: Suitable for buggies.

Rating – 2.5 stars.

This was a walk of convenience. Tara and Caitriona both live in Swords. Although there were beautiful views at Swords Estuary and Malahide village is lovely, stars were deducted because half this walk was through Swords, beside main roads and over a dual carriageway (not very scenic). We stopped for lunch in a sweet little cafe in Malahide before returning the same way. It was easy to navigate and mostly on flat ground.

There’s lots of beautiful ducks and swans in Swords Estuary
